Celebration of Learning - Dinosaurs:  We are so proud of all the learning, fun and sharing that took place during our Celebration of Learning on Monday.   The children were so excited to show off so many of their projects, activities, and artistic creations.  Thank you all for coming, exploring, and adjusting to yet another weather-related schedule change!

Class Book:  The PreKers class book entitled “Our Favorite Dinosaurs” (which you saw briefly at our celebration) will be in circulation when we return from vacation.  When your child brings it home, please enjoy it overnight, write a note on the last page, and return it to school the following day.

Valentine Thank You:  We had a wonderful time celebrating Valentine’s Day with our friends!  Thank you to everyone who so generously contributed the snacks, drinks, paper goods, and valentines.

Parent Conferences:  A big thank you to all who were able to be here for parent conferences.  We appreciate your knowledge, insight and conversation and we always look forward to these opportunities to discuss your child.

Dr. Seuss and Read Across America:

This final week prior to our March vacation we are celebrating Read Across America Week and Dr. Seuss’ birthday.  We will be sharing several Dr. Seuss stories in class and doing some fun activities as we continue to encourage and promote the development of important pre-reading and beginning reading skills while fostering a love of literature.

TCS Book Fair:  The TCS Book Fair is being held this week - Tuesday through Thursday 8:00 AM - 4:00 PM in the Blatchford Learning Center.  Please plan on taking your child at either arrival or dismissal time.  The class went over Tuesday morning to visit, read one of the stories available for purchase, and talked about the similarities and differences between book fairs, bookstores and libraries.

Blue & Gold Canned Food Drive:

TCS is holding a canned food drive TOMORROW - Thursday, March 5th to help support the Branford Community Dining Room.  If your child is on the blue team please put their cans in the blue bin and if they are on the gold team put their cans in the gold bin.  Both bins are in the foyer of our building. The team (schoolwide) that collects the most cans will earn points for their team.  Thank you for your help for this worthy cause!

Save the Date:  Once we return from our vacation it won’t be long before our PreK Concert takes place!  Make sure to clear your calendar for Friday, April 17th at 8:30 A.M.  Parents, siblings, and extended family are invited to attend.  You won’t want to miss this exciting event!

                                                                                          

March Vacation:  We wish you all a wonderful, warm, relaxing vacation and we hope that all the snow will be gone when we return on March 23rd.
